Zoo Life

Nature & Wildlife 2 x 52' or 1 x 90' 2021 4K

A day at the zoo can be an entertaining and educating pastime. But for many good reasons, permanent residents and their visitors gaze at each other from opposite sides of the fence and much of their everyday animal life remains a secret. This two-part program wants to reveal some of these mysteries, and at the same time prove the importance of zoos beyond entertainment purposes. They serve as modern-day arks, trying to create a natural habitat for some of the most endangered species and running breeding programs to preserve biodiversity. ‘Zoo Life’ takes us on an expedition beyond the bars of 12 of Western Germany’s most popular zoos to get up close and personal with some of the most intriguing animals of our planet, as we become witness of undisturbed behaviors and fascinating social interactions.
