Shipwrecks – Oases for Wildlife

Nature & Wildlife 52' 2025 4K

Whether tiny or gigantic, a shipwreck attracts life, creating islands of biodiversity. Wrecks are colonised in just a few years, becoming artificial reefs covered in red gorgonians, sponges and shellfish. From the smallest fry to the largest grouper, fish shelter and reproduce there, soon creating a new food chain in a balanced biotope.

From the appearance of the first marine bacteria to the luxuriant gardens of the Red Sea and Mediterranean wrecks, this film tells the fascinating story of the natural colonisation of wrecks, which is also the story of life.
