The Long Flight of the Phoenix

Nature & Wildlife 52' 2008 HD

This bird has fascinated civilizations for centuries and thus the myth of the Phoenix was born. She has existed for ten million years and she is still here. We see it fly into a Mediterranean valley, a place baptized by the Romans as the “Divine Source”, where she creates volcanoes in order to be born again. We them fly to bring up their offspring together, flying every night to feed their grey babies, who are still covered by the ashes of the revival. Few places like this still remain because they are vulnerable ecosystems. The bird of the Sun, for the former Egyptians, is reborn on the shores of the Mare Nostrum, and the miracle takes place once more.
