Waves Beneath the Water wins the main award at Green Screen Festival
12 September 2022
The international wildlife film festival Green Screen (September 7 - 11, 2022) is one of the most renowned festivals for nature documentaries in Europe, gathering industry experts on film, conservation and science every year. As this year's edition of the festival comes to an end, we bring you wonderful news!
We are so proud to announce that the main award went to one of our very own films - the wildlife documentary Waves Beneath the Water - Secrets of Fresh Water Life Revealed takes us on a journey in search of the extraordinary creatures of a magnificent world beneath the Dutch waterline, unveiling an environmental success story that should be celebrated.
On Arthur de Bruin's film, the jury says: “There are places that you don't automatically associate with 'wildlife' - too many buildings, too many people. But with enough courage, patience and craftsmanship, it is precisely in such places that unexpected stories about nature can be told. The team behind this film has succeeded in doing just that: They elegantly weave expressive images, an unobtrusive text and trenchant music into a total work of art that casts a spell over the underwater world of the Netherlands - in the end, you're even moved by the birth of a young mussel! Who would have thought?”
But not only that - our catalog has showed up in full force and taken home four more of these important awards.
Here's the list:
Green Screen Nature Film Award: Waves Beneath the Water - Secrets of Fresh Water Life Revealed (Ispida Wildlife Productions)
