At this year's Rembrandt Awards (the "Dutch Oscars"), The New Wilderness won the Best Dutch Film Award! This is the first time ever that a feature documentary has been awarded a title of the Best Dutch Movie of the Year.

Besides, the film received the Audience Award at this year's Gouden Kalf Film Festival.
